Fewer things, chosen better

HouChik.com started with a simple frustration: kitchen shops full of things that look good for a season and then warp, chip or peel. We wanted a shorter list — pieces you buy once, use daily, and eventually hand on.

Everything in the catalogue is used in our own kitchens before it goes on the site. If a pan does not hold heat, if a glaze crazes after a few dishwasher cycles, or if a linen apron feels scratchy after three washes, it does not make the cut.

We work with small European workshops wherever we can — stoneware from family potteries, olive wood from Mediterranean growers, linen woven in Europe. Where a specialist factory simply does it better, we say so on the product page.

Packed and shipped from France

Orders leave our warehouse in France, usually within one to two working days. Parcels go out in recycled cardboard with paper tape and paper cushioning — no plastic fill, no branded plastic bags.
